President Museveni has commissioned the MV Sigulu which now becomes Uganda’s largest passenger ferry and retains a space for over 18 cars.This ferry connects to Sigulu and Lolwe islands from Namayingo mainland.Also coming up is the:
1- Bukungu—Kagwara—Kaberamaido [BKK Ferry].
2- A second ferry for Kiyindi—Buvuma.
3- 2 ferries for Lake Bunyonyi Project including rescue boats to support the vulnerable people on the Lake.
Museveni Thursday also talked about the recently completed Musita-Lumino/Busia-Majanji road.
This road provides a connection to Namayingo town which is a few minutes to Watega landing site where the MV Sigulu awaits to deliver you and your products to the islands of Lolwe and Sigulu.
“Our agenda is to close the infrastructure gap in order to provide a
foundation for development-oriented investment,” he noted.
