Judiciary officers have been asked to administer justice in line with the Gods principles include impartiality, fair hearing among others
This call was made by the General overseer of National Fellowship of Born, Bishop Joshua Lwere during the first ever Judiciary prayer breakfast organised by the Judiciary.
Lwere cautioned the Judges against prioritizing the fear of man over the fear of God and urged them to uphold justice and righteousness in their decision-making.
Presiding over the event, Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo emphasized the importance of aligning judicial decisions with divine principles.
He noted that people rarely pause to thank God for the countless blessings they receive, like the air we breathe.
Owiny-Dollo reminded judicial officers of advocating for impartiality and justice rooted in divine guidance. He proposed making the prayer breakfast a quarterly tradition, expressing disbelief at the idea of waiting another year for such an occasion.
The service was attended by Judicial officers, senior Judiciary administrators led by the Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana, representatives from different Administration of Justice institutions as well as Civil Society Organisations.
