The Permanent secretaries of Southern and Eastern Africa Judiciaries have called for unity and collaboration among member states as opposed to competing with each other for enhanced justice delivery.
According to the Chairperson Judicial Administrators Association of Southern and Eastern Africa (SEAJAA), Professor Elisante Gabriel Ole, member states shouldn’t compete but should work together to deliver justice to the people they serve across the region.
Professor Elisante indicated that when these countries work together, they will be able to move very far.
Professor Elisante made the remarks on Monday 30th September,2024 at the Judiciary Headquarters in Kampala, as he addressed the media ahead of the one-week long conference of Chief Justices Forum, of Southern and Eastern Africa which is expected to be opened tomorrow by President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
SEAJAA is a subordinate Association under the said Chief Justices Forum, incepted in 2017.
SEAJAA currently has 14 member states with Kenya being the most recent to join two months ago.
The Judiciary Permanent Secretary Dr. Pius Bigirimana and the Chief Registrar Sarah Langa Siu are representing Uganda.
