Following the successful launch of the Kaliisoliiso Dinner Concert 2026 on 9 July 2026 at Nkozi Hospital, the CBS FM Kaliisoliiso programme crew, together with the entire CBS FM family, is preparing for the main fundraising dinner on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Hotel Africana.

The campaign, launched by the Second Deputy Katikiro of Buganda and Rotary member, Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, aims to raise funds towards the completion and equipping of the Nkozi Hospital Accident, Injury and Trauma Centre along the Masaka Road.

The project requires approximately UGX 1 billion to reach completion and provide specialised care for victims of road crashes and other emergencies.

During the launch at Nkozi Hospital, more than UGX 200 million was raised, with contributions coming from partners, organisations, Rotary members and well-wishers. MTN, Centenary Bank and other partners have already demonstrated their commitment to the cause.

As part of its partnership with CBS FM under a three-year Memorandum of Understanding, Centenary Bank contributed UGX 100 million towards this year's Road Safety Programme, building on its commitment of UGX 280 million over the three-year partnership.

Speaking at the launch, Centenary Bank General Manager for Corporate Communications and Marketing, Beatrice Lugalambi, reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to initiatives that protect lives and strengthen communities.

“At Centenary Bank, our purpose is to transform lives through inclusive financial services. Supporting initiatives that protect lives and strengthen communities is a natural extension of that purpose.”

She also commended the organisers of the Kaliisoliiso Dinner Concert for championing road safety and supporting the construction and equipping of the Accident and Trauma Centre at Nkozi Hospital, while appreciating the Buganda Kingdom and all partners contributing to the initiative.

The launch began with a Holy Mass led by the Archbishop, Paul Ssemogerere, assisted by other priests, before leaders, partners and well-wishers joined the fundraising drive.

CBS Managing Director, Omuk. Michael Kawooya Mwebe, reaffirmed the commitment of the Kabaka's radio station to completing the Nkozi Hospital project, in line with the Kabaka's directive.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

The Kaliisoliiso Dinner Concert 2026 will bring together leaders, partners, corporate organisations, Rotary members, members of the Buganda community, friends of CBS FM and well-wishers for an evening dedicated to one important cause:

Better care for those who need it most.

The September 11 dinner will provide another opportunity to mobilise the remaining funds needed to complete the Nkozi Hospital Accident, Injury and Trauma Centre and help ensure that victims of road crashes along the Masaka Road and surrounding areas can access timely and specialised medical care.
